South Florida Ford and Lincoln dealers seek candidates for their Salute to Education scholarships
Salute to Education, the scholarship program funded by the South Florida Ford and Lincoln dealers for the past 18 years, has announced that it is currently accepting applications online for one of their $1,500 scholarships. Fifty students will be awarded. They also will be awarding each scholarship winner with a laptop computer in addition to the scholarship grant. Deadline to submit the applications online is January 26, 2012.
Swim-A-Thon raises $50,000 for Gulliver, Miami Project to Cure Paralysis
More than 170 swimmers of all ages, including five-year-olds on noodles, raised more than $50,000 at Gulliver Schools recent second annual Make a Splash Swim- A-Thon at the Preparatory Campus Aquatic Center.
